گرامر

تعریف صفت:صفت به واژه ای گفته می شود که اسم مابعد خود را توصیف نماید,به عبارت دیگر توضیح بیشتری درباره ی اسم دهد.

در این مرحله از آموزش گرامر زبان انگلیسی به مبحث صفت می پردازیم:

انواع صفت در زبان انگلیسی:

 صفات از لحاظ برتری به سه دسته تقسیم می شوند :

1) صفت ساده یا مطلق Positive degree 

2) صفت تفضیلی (مقایسه ای) Comparative degree 

3) صفت عالی Superlative degree 

1)      صفت ساده کلمه ای است که فقط اسمی را توصیف می کند .

         Bad – Good – large - Small 

2)      صفت تفضیلی برتری چیزی یا شخصی را از چیزی یا شخص دیگر بیان می کند .

   He is younger than I.

3)      صفت عالی برتری شخص یا چیزی را از اشخاص و اشیا دیگر بیان می کند.           

   Helena is the youngest girl in our family.

طرز ساخت صفات تفضیلی و عالی از صفات مطلق (ساده) :   

الف ) تمام صفات یک بخشی با er به صفات تفضیلی و با est   به  صفات عالی تبدیل می شوند.

Tall          قد بلند          taller                         tallest        

Short         کوتاه                       shorter                       shortest

Long       بلند                                  longer                        longest

با افزودن پسوند های   er و  est  به آخر بعضی از صفات تغییراتی در آنها داده می شود .  

1 ) صفاتی که به  (e )  ساکن ختم می شوند وقتی  er  و  est  به آنها افزوده می شود  ( e )   ساکن حذف می شود.

Brave                                 braver                            bravest

2 ) صفاتی که به حرف  ( y)   ختم می شوند بر دو نوعند  

الف ) اگر قبل از حرف ( y )  یک حرف صدادار باشد با با افزودن  er و    est   تغییری در انها داده نمی شود .

Gay       خوشحال                   gayer                                gayest

Coy       محجوب                         coyer                               coyest

ب ) اگر قبل از   ( y )  حروف بی صدا باشد  ( y )  را به  ( i  )  تبدیل نموده و  er و   est  را به آن اضافه  می کنیم .

Easy                                   easier                             easiest

Happy                               happier                           happiest

3 ) صفات یک بخشی که مختوم به یک حرف بی صدا بوده با افزودن  er  و est   حروف بی صدای آخر را تکرار می کنیم .  مثل :

Hot                                      hotter                           hottest

 نکته : صفات دو بخشی که به حروف    er – le – y – ow -  ختم می شوند . با er  و est    تبدیل به صفات تفضیلی و عالی می شوند .

Clever                           cleverer                      cleveres        

Narrow                           narrower                   narrowest        

 ولی اگر به این حروف ختم نشوند با    more  تفضیلی  و با   most  به صفات عالی تبدیل می شوند . این دو کلمه قبل از صفت بکار می روند .

Useful                      more useful                most useful          

Pleasant                     more pleasant           most pleasant        

 صفات بی قاعده :

صفاتی هستند که قانون خاصی برای آنها وجود ندارد .  مثل :

      صفت عالی                 صفت تفضیلی                             صفت ساده

      Good                             Better                         Best    

       Bad                               Worse                        Worst  

       Little                              Less                          Least  

     Much & Many                         More                          Most   

      Far                                Farther                      Farthest 

      Out                                 Outer                      Outmost 

نکته : بعد از صفات و قیدهای تفضیلی کلمه  Than  و بعد از صفات عالی حرف اضافه  (of)  بکار برده می شود . و در جلوی صفات عالی حرف تعریف  (the)  قرار می گیرد . مثل :

He is older than his brother.

او از برادرش بزرگتر است.

January is the coldest month of the year.

ژانویه سرد ترین ماه سال است. 

مقایسه صفات از نظر برتری و پستی – برابری و نا برابری :

الف ) کلمه    more  در اول صفات ساده قرار می گیرد . و برتری آن صفت را از صفت دیگر  بیان می کند . اگر به جای   more  از  less  که متضاد آن است استفاده کنیم  قبل از صفت قرار می گیرد . و پستی آن را از صفت دیگر بیان می کند . مثل : 

She is more beautiful than her sister .  ( برتری )

She is less beautiful  than her sister .       ( پستی )

ب ) هر گاه بخواهند دو صفت یا قید  را از نظر برابری با هم مقایسه کنند اگر مساوی باشند  آن صفت یا قید را بین   as …… as  قرار میدهند و اگر نا مساوی بودند آن را بین   so…….as  با یک فعل منفی قرار می دهند .  مثل :

Mina is as old as her sister.

مینا همسن خواهرش است.

Ali is as tall as my brother.

علی هم قد برادر من است.

This room is not so large as the other room.

این اطاق به بزرگی آن یکی نیست.

She doesn’t work so hard as her brother.

او به سختی برادرش کار نمی کند.

ج ) اگر دو اسم را از لحاظ برابری با هم مقایسه کنیم آن را بین The same………as قرار می دهیم . مثل :

Jack is the same age as Mike.

جک همسن مایک است.

نکته : در مکالمات روزانه اغلب به جای  so…..as از as….as با فعل منفی استفاده می کنیم . مثل :

He is not as tall as his brother.

Much & Very (خیلی) :

Very با صفات ساده و قید های ساده و Much  با صفات تفضیلی بکار می رود . مثل :

The weather is very cold today.

امروز هوا خیلی سرد است.

Helena is much more beautiful than her sister.

هلنا خیلی از خواهرش زیباتر است.

Good & Well :

Good صفت است و اسم را توصیف می کند ولی  Well قید است و فعل را توصیف می کند. مثل :

He is a good boy.

او پسر خوبی است.

She does her work well.

او کارش را به خوبی انجام می دهد.
